A victory for Big Buck’s in the World Hurdle, and wins for Sir Des Champs and Riverside Theatre, gave day 3 to the punters, said Coral
“Big Buck’s was the star attraction, and although his win alone would not have been too costly – Oscar Whisky winning would have been a worse result – alongside well-backed victories for Sir Des Champ, Riverside Theatre and Salut Flo, it meant punters definitely came out on top on day three,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“Big Buck’s would have been popular in plenty of betting shop accumulators, and for the first time this week a reigning champion was victorious, and at 5-6 his SP was better than many backers could have
hoped for,” added Stevens.
“We’d say it was all square after three days, meaning Gold Cup day will be the decider in the annual Cheltenham Festival battle between punters and bookies,” concluded Stevens.
