Sat 15.00: Sheffield Wednesday at 20/23 with BetVictor, head a tasty League One treble that also includes wins for MK Dons and Carlisle.
Sheffield Wednesday’s 4-1 victory over Bury in midweek has thrust them right back into the League One promotion hunt and at 20/23 courtesy of BetVictor they should have too much for Bournemouth as Dave Jones looks to make it two wins from two since he took charge of the Owls.
The Cherries’ away record isn’t bad but they head to Hillsborough on the back of four straight defeats so it’s hard to see past Wednesday, who are 8/1 via bet365 to gain revenge for their 2-0 loss in August’s reverse fixture at Dean Court, by notching twice without reply themselves.
MK Dons suffered a shock defeat at home to Yeovil on Tuesday but the goal that sank Karl Robinson’s men was a deflected effort and indeed they did enough to win the game, including missing a second-half penalty. It’s not time to press the panic button then and we expect the Dons, at an enticing 4/7 (Ladbrokes), to bounce back immediately as they entertain relegation-threatened Exeter, who tend to struggle on the road.
Completing a tasty treble of home wins are Carlisle. The Cumbrians, 5/6 chances at Skybet, take on a Bury side without a victory in nine attempts and as Greg Abbott’s charges still have a realistic chance of making the play-offs, they will be keen to avoid slipping-up here.
