Paul Ferguson has One selection for us on Friday; Winning Habit in the 15:15 at Wetherby. Compare odds and bet
With his current mark due to go up very shortly, Nicky Henderson sends Winning Habit (3:15) north to Wetherby this afternoon and the seven-year-old can make the long journey north worthwhile by landing the Yorkshire Post Ladies’ Day 24th May Handicap Hurdle.
The son of Beat All had been running against much better opposition and over trips clearly shorter than ideal prior to last Friday’s second at Newbury, where he stayed on really well over 3m½f to chase home a handicapper on a roll.
The drop back in trip shouldn’t be a problem in this weaker contest and a reproduction of last week’s run ought to see him get off the mark.
Obviously the quick reappearance is a slight concern, but Henderson wouldn’t be sending him all the way to Wetherby if he didn’t think he was fit enough to do himself justice.
Friday’s selection:
3:15 Wetherby: Winning Habit (5/4 BetVictor)
