Paul Ferguson has one selection for us today; 5/2 shot Baileys Concerto in the 16:00 at Southwell; Compare odds and bet
A fairly quiet start to the week, which isn’t unexpected after the week we’ve just enjoyed at Cheltenham, and the day’s sole selection comes in Southwell’s Ladbrokes Mobile “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle.
Destroyer Deployed was a high-class bumper performer last season (runner-up in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham) but has failed to sparkle over timber so far in three starts. Last time he was a length off Dannanceys Hill at Hereford and that pair are taken on with Baileys Concerto (4:00) who shaped really well behind the smart Persian Snow last time.
Venetia Williams’s six-year-old took a massive step forward from his debut fifth last time and, if he progresses again from start two to three, he will take some stopping here under Aidan Coleman.
Monday’s selection:
4:00 Southwell: Baileys Concerto; Early price; 5/2 @ bet365
