Live on Skysports 2: Sat 17.20: At 11/8 with BetVictor Cardiff can get their Championship play-off bid back on track by beating Bristol City.
Bristol City’s midweek win over Leicester ended a dismal run that had seen the Robins take just one point from their previous seven games. The victory has edged Derek McInnes’ men five points clear of danger and they will hope to put further distance between themselves and the bottom three as they entertain Cardiff, another team that has struggled for form of late.
The Bluebirds have managed just one win in seven Championship outings and missed the chance to move back into the play-off places on Wednesday as they conceded a late leveller at Brighton. However, as that result came against a Seagulls side unbeaten in the league in 2012, Cardiff will take heart from it and they look decent value at 11/8 with BetVictor to get their top six push back on track by picking up all three points this time, as they face what should be weaker opposition.
Leaders Southampton have stuttered a touch at home lately, winning just two of their last seven at the St Mary’s Stadium but at 2/5 with Betfred they should have no such trouble against Barnsley, who have lost five of their last seven.
Also on a terrible run are Peterborough and Partybets’ 7/5 chances Blackpool can capitalise by becoming the eighth team in eleven matches to defeat Posh, simultaneously boosting their play-off hopes. Meanwhile much-improved Ipswich have picked up five victories in seven attempts and secured a deserved point at Southampton last time out so they are simply too big at 29/10 (Stan James) as they head to Hull.
