Live on Skysports 2: Sat 12.45: Ladbrokes’ 4/7 chances Sheffield Wednesday combine with Carlisle and Charlton in a League One treble.
Unbeaten under Dave Jones and possessing a tremendous home record, League One promotion chasers Sheffield Wednesday are hard to oppose as they entertain a Preston side for whom the end of the season can’t really come quickly enough.
Admittedly, North End look a touch more solid since Graham Westley took charge but they simply can’t pick up points with any consistency and at 4/7 courtesy of Ladbrokes, they look set to emerge from this mountainous task at Hillsborough, empty-handed.
At the Valley, leaders Charlton can edge closer to the title by beating Leyton Orient. The Addicks have lost just twice in front of their own supporters this season and although they have faltered a touch of late, Chris Powell’s charges look decent value at 8/15 with Coral to get back to winning ways against a Leyton Orient team arriving on the back of a run of four defeats in six.
Those two sides double up at a respectable 7/5 (Ladbrokes) but bold punters wanting to pick up a healthier profit might wish to take a chance by adding Carlisle, bet365’s 21/10 outsiders, to the accumulator.
The Cumbrians host high-flying Huddersfield, who have lost just once on the road all season but Brunton Park is a tough place to go and the home side, on a high following their impressive late win at MK Dons in midweek, have enough momentum to edge out Simon Grayson’s charges.
