Live on Skysports 1: Wed 17.00: Lee Westwood is 18/1 (bet365) to win the WGC Matchplay this week and make it another English success.
At the WGC Matchplay in Arizona, Lee Westwood is 18/1 with bet365 to bring the title back to England for a 3rd consecutive year after wins for Donald and Poulter in ’11 and ’10 respectively.
Westwood was in good form when coming 2nd in Dubai and admitted himself he threw it away. If he keeps his concentration, he should be in with a good chance – he is 1/4 for the top 4.
Luke Donald is 16/1 with Betfred to defend his title, and will always have his backers, while Ian Poulter is 30/1 at Totesport to reclaim his 2010 gong.
Rory McIlroy leads the market of 64 on 12/1 (Stan James) while many will be siding with Tiger Woods at 13/1 (Boylesports) despite him tailing off to T15 at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Others to watch are recent PGA winner Bill Haas (40/1, bet365), the very much in-form Keegan Bradley (40/1, Skybet) and two-time WGC Matchplay winner Geoff Ogilvy at 55/1 (Sportingbet).
