Stan James have cut Seabass from 33/1 to 16/1 to land the Grand National after his victory in the Grade 2 Paddypower.com Chase at Naas.
Seabass stayed on strongly under Ruby Walsh to take the Grade 2 Paddypower.com Chase at Naas this afternoon with Stan James cutting him for the Grand National and the Cheltenham Festival.
Stan James spokesman Rory Jiwani says, “Seabass showed he is certainly versatile as far as trip is concerned. He won over two miles today but connections are targeting the Grand National over four-and-a-half miles at Aintree.
“We’ve cut him from 33/1 to 16/1 for the National and he is 18/1 in our enhanced win-only market. We’ve also cut Ted Walsh’s nine-year-old for his potential Cheltenham Festival targets. He is 8/1 from 16/1 for the Byrne Group Plate and 10/1 from 14/1 for the JLT Specialty Chase.
“At Fontwell, Barbers Shop just held off Merry Vic in the Hunter Chase to secure qualification for the Cheltenham Foxhunters. Stan James make the Queen’s 10-year-old a 14/1 shot for the Festival contest.”
