Live on Skysports 3: Thu 20.00: Phil Mickelson is 10/1 (Betfred) to record back to back wins on the PGA Tour at this week’s Northern Trust Open.
Mickelson was in great shape when picking up last week’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am winners cheque and should be a good 10/1 favourite this week, with Betfred, and will certainly have his backers as he aims to regain his title from ’08 and ’09.
Two others that may mount a serious challenge are defending champ Aaron Baddeley and Padraig Harrington. Baddeley, 33/1 with Stan James, is not only familiar with the course but playing very well as he came home 4th last week. Similarly, Padraig Harrington managed a T7 at Pebble Beach and should at least be considered each way at 45/1 (bet365).
Finally, Ricky Barnes could be an outsider to watch at 80/1 (BetVictor).
