Live on Skysports 1: Thu 19.45: Leicester are 11/8 with Coral to beat Derby in a potentially tight local derby contest in the Championship.
Derby have taken just two points from their last five Championship matches and they were well beaten by Southampton on Saturday, going down 4-0 at the same time as Leicester were beating Premiership opposition in the shape of Norwich in the FA Cup. The two sides lock horns at Pride Park in contrasting moods then and it’s the buoyant Foxes that look better placed to keep their slim chances of making the play-offs alive.
Nigel Pearson’s charges are an 11/8 chance at Coral while the stuttering Rams are 5/2 with BetVictor despite enjoying home advantage and bet365 offer the draw, which is always a popular choice in derby contests, at 12/5.
It certainly looks set to be close but the visitors should have the edge and they’re 10/3 (bet365) to nick it by a one-goal margin. More specifically, Blue Square post 9/1 against a 2-1 Foxes triumph and with the contest likely to be tight Pearson’s men might be worth a modest gamble at 9/2 with Betfred to secure a victory after a drawn first period.
