Tue 19.45: Blackpool are 7/5 (BetVictor) to see off West Ham at the top of the Championship, while Birmingham could also prevail.
Inactive at the weekend, West Ham were ousted from the top of the Championship table by Southampton but a victory at Blackpool would send Sam Allardyce’s charges back to the summit. However, the Hammers are bet365’s 21/10 outsiders ahead of the clash at Broomfield Road, where the Seasiders are a 7/5 chance via BetVictor and it’s the hosts that could have the edge in this one.
Ian Holloway’s charges have been in excellent form of late, aside from Saturday’s FA Cup defeat to Premier League Everton in which Blackpool made a host of changes and they possess a solid home record. West Ham meanwhile, have won just one of their last five on the road and were beaten 5-1 in their last away fixture, at Ipswich.
A narrow Seasiders triumph appears likely then and Ladbrokes rate the hosts at 10/3 to shade it by a one-goal margin.
Elsewhere, Birmingham are 6/5 (Coral) to do their promotion chances the power of good by collecting maximum points at Barnsley and at the New Den, William Hill make Middlesbrough 21/10 to force their way back into the play-off picture with a win at struggling Millwall.
