Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Sunday; Forward Flight in the 15.50 at Kelso. Compare odds. #KELSO ABANDONED#
After running a race full of promise on debut, when runner-up at Bangor last month Forward Flight (3:50) is fancied to go one better and land the bumper at Kelso on Sunday for Sue Smith and J P McManus, who has bought the six-year-old since that first run.
Beaten by the McManus-owned Nelson’s Bridge on debut, the pair pulled a long way clear of the third and, despite having raced keenly early on, the selection kept on in pleasing fashion.
The winner of that contest is clearly well-regarded if it persuaded McManus to pull out the cheque book and, though Flaming Arrow has some solid form to his name, Forward Flight is taken to make a winning debut in the famous green and gold hoops.
Sunday’s selection:
3:50 Kelso Forward Flight
