Nicky Henderson’s Sprinter Scare leads the betting in the Arkle as Stan James’ 9/4 fav at the head of 27 entries at Cheltenham.
StanJames.com spokesman Rory Jiwani says, “This looks set to be one of the best races of the Festival. Solwhit is perhaps the biggest name absentee from the list but there are some seriously good horses in the 27. Sprinter Sacre, Peddlers Cross, Al Ferof, Menorah and Cue Card were all excellent hurdlers and that’s not even taking the Irish challenge into account.
“Paul Nicholls has some interesting contenders, none more so than former Festival winner Sanctuaire who makes his chasing debut at Taunton next Tuesday or at Ludlow the following day. He’s currently 33/1 for the Arkle.”
