After landing the Argento Chase at Cheltenham, Midnight Chase has been cut to 16/1 at Betfred (from 40/1) to win the Gold Cup.
Tidal Bay ran well and has also been cut for his efforts and is now 33/1, in from 66’s for the Gold Cup.
“Midnight Chase’s love affair with Cheltenham continued with a fine performance in the Argento Chase and whilst he’s sure to run another solid race in the Gold Cup, he still has a fair bit to find to trouble the front two in the market,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
Earlier on the card, Grumeti was awarded the JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial after Pearl Swan passed the post first and the pair have been quoted at 8/1 by Betfred for the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Sadler’s Risk has been promoted to 6/1 favouritism (from 8/1) following this race.
