Rubi Light has been cut from 20/1 to 12/1 in the Ryanair Chase by Stan James after the six-year-old eased to victory at Punchestown.
StanJames.com spokesman Rory Jiwani says, “There can be no doubt that Rubi Light is an improving horse having fallen when set to beat Sizing Europe at Gowran Park in October. He ran really well to finish third in the Ryanair last March, and 12/1 could look a big price come the Festival.
“We’ve also trimmed him to 6/1 for the Lexus Chase later this month, although Joncol ran an excellent trial for that three-mile Grade 1. Paul Nolan’s star was staying on well at the end and we’ve cut him from 11/2 to 7/2 for the Leopardstown contest.”
