Giles Cross, runner-up at last season’s Coral Welsh National, is now 8/1, in from 10/1, with Coral to go one better at Chepstow.
Synchronised is the 6/1 favourite to retain the Welsh National crown but has Leopardstown’s Lexus Chase as an alternative target.
“The Chepstow going is sure to determine the participation of some contenders, but Giles Cross is one runner who won’t mind it heavy, and if Synchronised does head to Ireland, Victor Dartnall’s charge would take over at the head of the betting,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
Elsewhere, Prospect Wells has been well-backed for Saturday’s Ladbroke Hurdle, and is now 3-1 (from 4-1) favourite with Coral.
