Paul Ferguson has two selections for us from Fontwell on Tuesday; Secret Edge in the 12.40 and Lets Get Serious at 13: 40 Compare odds.
Alan King has his string in fine form at the moment and the good run of him and Robert Thornton can continue at Fontwell on Tuesday, where Secret Edge (12:40) should return to winning ways in the opening juvenile hurdle.
A winner at the second time of asking over timber when taking Wetherby’s Wensleydale Hurdle, the son of Tobougg finished third to the highly regarded Hinterland last time despite a serious mistake mid-race.
The form of his Wensleydale success has worked out well, with the next three home winning since, and he should be hard to beat in this grade before he is once again upped in class for the Final Hurdle over Christmas.
King saddles useful bumper winner Medinas in the 2m4f novices’ hurdle, but he may struggle to contain Lets Get Serious (1:40) assuming Nicky Henderson has his five-year-old fully wound-up after a 416 day lay-off.
He reportedly surprised connections when making a winning debut in a Cheltenham bumper last October, but he did it really well in the end and that is another contest to have worked out well.
Dark Lover, Teaforthree and Accordintolawrence have all won races since, while Sybarite has shaped well in defeat in decent company, and the Overbury gelding can make up for lost time under Tony McCoy this afternoon.

1:40 Fontwell: Lets Get Serious; 13/8 Bet356.com
