Live on Skysports 1: Fri 19.45: It’s 3/1 (Betfred) for Newcastle to leave Anfield with a point and 8/1 (Ladbrokes) for yet another 1-1 scoreline.
Liverpool slipped to a very dissappointing 1-1 draw on Boxing Day at home to Blackburn and bet365 chalk them up as 4/7 favs to see off Newcastle on Friday night.
The Barcodes are 6/1 with William Hill to make it back to back away wins but Liverpool will be a tough examination. They can take heart from the fact that Liverpool have only won one of the last six at home, all the other being draws, so Betfred’s 3/1 on the draw is immediately attractive. The absence of Luis Suarez will also dent a fairly lacklustre home attack.
With five previous teams coming away with 1-1 draws in the league, Ladbrokes’ 8/1 for another is appealing. Demba Ba, who is in amazing form at the moment, is 13/5 with Stan James to score anytime and 8/1 (Totesport) to open the scoring.
