Punters can scoop £100,000 for as little as £2 on William Hill’s exclusive fantasy horse racing competition ‘The Jumps’, starting Fri 11th Nov.
The Jumps returns this Friday, 11th November, and there are monthly prizes of £4000 to be won plus a 20% winnings bonus on your ‘Stable Star’ – and free text updates every time they take to the course.
William Hill King George winner Long Run, Champion Chaser Sizing Europe plus exciting chasers Peddlers Cross and Captain Chris (amongst numerous others) are some of the names you can choose for your stable star.
Kate Miller, spokeswoman for William Hill, said ‘We were delighted with the fantastic response to last season’s ‘The Jumps’ competition, so are giving horse racing fans a second chance to relieve us of another six-figure sum – from as little as £2 per go!’
Paul Maguire of Skelmersdale bagged last year’s big prize after a stake of just £24.
Mr Maguire soldified his season victory at the Cheltenham Festival – where there are bonus points to be had – after a campaign that included Champions Big Buck’s and Long Run.
The lucky punter sealed the deal when his ‘Stable Star’ Hurricane Fly was triumphant in the Champion Hurdle, rewarding him with extra points needed to ensure victory was his.
Mr Maguire’s 2010/11 selections were: Stable Star HURRICANE FLY (70 Pts), Horse 1 AL FEROF (55 Pts), Horse 2 MASTER MINDED (20 Pts), Horse 3 SOLWHIT (10 Pts), Horse 4 BIG BUCKS (45 Pts), Horse 5 PEDDLERS CROSS (45 Pts), Horse 6 QUEVEGA (25 Pts), Horse 7 LONG RUN (60 Pts), Horse 8 RIVERSIDE THEATRE (20 Pts), Horse 9 ROYAL CHARM (10 Pts).
ABOUT THE JUMPS:
The game itself is easy to enter, players must simply pick 10 horses from ‘The Jumps’ Easy Slip which is available in any of William Hill’s 2400 UK-wide betting shops. In the same style as filling out teams on a football coupon, players must mark the box next to their selections and hand this in to a member of staff along with their £2 entry fee, and in return they will receive a printed slip of their selections and a wallet.
One of the ten selections must be from the list of eight stable stars. Your ‘Stable Star’ (the selection picked from the list of eight) entitles you to 20 PER CENT BONUS ODDS every time it runs throughout the competition dates. To avail of the bonus odds, players must bring along their printed entry slip and wallet when they’re backing their selection.
Slips will be available in William Hill betting shops from Friday 11th November.
The competition kicks off on Hennessy Gold Cup day, November 26th 2011, and runs up to and including the final day of the Cheltenham Festival, March 16th 2012 – entries and monies need to be in by NOON on November 26th.
Punters can enter as many times as they like. Each stable costs £2 and there are no transfers throughout the competition.
