Live on ITV4 & ESPN: Thurs 17.00 & 18.00: Tottenham are 8/11 (Totesport) to lose in Russia in the Europa League but Stoke can win in Israel.
Tottenham edged past Rubin Kazan 1-0 at White Hart Lane a couple of weeks ago but with Harry Redknapp giving his fringe players the chance to gain experience in the Europa League, it seems unlikely that 4/1 shots will manage to repeat the feat in the reverse fixture in Russia.
Redknapp admitted after that match that he would “look to send the kids over there to play” and so the hosts look like worthy favourites at 8/11 with Totesport. Furthermore, as Spurs’ goal at home came from a direct free-kick it’s easy to see them failing to get on the scoresheet and Rubin Kazan look a cracking bet at 2/1 (Ladbrokes) to win ‘to nil’ in the Central Stadium.
Stoke have excelled in the competition so far and they can fare a touch better than Tottenham as they make the trip to Israel to face Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Tony Pulis’ men struck three times without reply when hosting their opponents recently and although an equally comfortable triumph is a big ask, the Potters are decent value at 13/8 with Stan James to pick up maximum points.
