Live on SS1: Thu 03.30 & 08.30: Angus Loughran previews the Omega World Cup and Alfred Dunhill C’ship and picks his Selections:
Ireland head the market at 4/1 with Betfred for this week’s World Cup Of Golf in Mission Hills China and have an obvious chance but for value bets I fancy Italy with The Molinari’s at 11/1 (William Hill) – winners of a thriller 2 years ago – and Sweden with Robert Karlsson and Alex Noren. The Swedes will both relish the longer than usual course of over 7500 yards that this week’s event is being played over and look a great each way wager this week at 12/1 with Stan James with 1/4 for 4 places in a field which has some big names but lacks strength in depth.
George Coetzee is a South African who is surely destined to win on the European Tour; he should have won last week and must go well in South Africa. He is available at 12/1 at Ladbrokes, I was hoping for bigger but his chance in this weeks South African Open are obvious.
This may be a big field but it has not attracted the strongest field. Of the bigger prices Jbe Kruger should be supported each way 1/4 odds the first 5 with Coral at 28/1.
Aaron Baddeley at 14/1 (Sportingbet) is my selection in the Australian PGA taking place in Queensland.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
