Paul Ferguson has one selection for us today; Eddie Ahern’s mount Diala in the 1.30 at Newmarket Compare odds.
The most interesting runner on Tuesday is, arguably, the 149-rated hurdler Escort’men, who makes his chasing debut for Paul Nicholls and Ruby Walsh at Fontwell, though he is likely to be very short and is one to watch.
Of more interest from a punting point of view is Diala (1:30) in the opening fillies’ maiden at Newmarket.
William Haggas’ daughter of Iffraaj travelled really well on debut on the July course in August and was last off the bridle, before going down by ¾ of a length to Lyric Of Light.
The winner has since won the Group 2 May Hill at Doncaster and the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile back at HQ and a reproduction of that debut effort ought to be good enough for Eddie Ahern’s mount.
Wednesday’s selection:
1:30 Newmarket Diala
