Paul Ferguson has one selection over the water at Punchestown for us on Wednesday; Stonemaster in the 2.45 Compare odds.
If Punchestown passes a morning inspection, it is worth giving another chance to Stonemaster (2:45) in the 2m4f beginners’ chase.
Dessie Hughes’ six-year-old shaped well on his debut over fences over course-and-distance a fortnight ago and should strip fitter for the outing.
Rated 149 over hurdles, the former points winner can get off the mark at the second time of asking over the larger obstacles, possibly at the main expense of Crash, who is a smart horse in his own right and a fair second string for the Gigginstown House Stud.
Wednesday’s selection:
2:45 Punchestown Stonemaster
