Live on SS1: Thu 12.00: Angus Loughran previews the Andalucia Masters and Shanghai Masters and picks his Selections:
Such was the manner of Sergio Garcia’s win last week that even at 13/2 (Totesport) he has to be included in this week’s portfolio for the Andalucia Masters with Alex Noren at 25/1 (Boylesports) also worth siding with.
This looks an event where Welshman Jamie Donaldson has a big chance and I think at 40/1 he is over the odds each way, with Ladbrokes offering 1/4 odds first 6 – the best available.
The Shanghai Masters has a stellar field headed by Rory McLlroy at 5/1 with Paddy Power. Geoff Ogilvy is a player I like to follow when he hits form and at 16/1 (Betfred) he looks value this week on a course which suits the long hitters – John Daly at 150/1 is not the worst each way bet with bet365. This event starts early so make sure your bets are on before you go to bed on Wednesday night.
Luke Donald produced an awesome display to land the PGA money list on Sunday night he is only 3/1 with Bet365 to win a Major in 2012 which is pretty short but there can be no doubt he is heading in the right direction and despite no Major title, he is a fully deserved World Number 1
Good luck
Angus Loughran
