Live on SS2 & 3: Thu 11.00 & 19.00: Angus Loughran previews the Castello Masters and Children’s Miracle and picks his Selections:
Matteo Manassero had his first big break as a pro in Valencia last year and is a decent bet at 16/1 with Skybet this time round at the Castello Masters to retain his title in a field where Sergio Garcia, winner here in 2008, heads the market at 9/1 (Sportingbet).
Felipe Aguillar caught my eye in last week’s event in Potugual and looks a big price at 66/1 (Stan James) for each way backers. I also like the each way chance of Spain’s Ignaccio Garrido who looks over the odds at 50/1 with William Hill.
The PGA money list will be decided in Florida this week at the Children’s Miracle with Luke Donald chasing Webb Simpson in his quest to become the first golfer to top the money list on both sides of the Atlantic – Donald is Paddy Power’s 8/1 fav to win which would secure the list unless Simpson finishes a clear 2nd.
I fancy another Englishman here this week – Justin Rose, available at 14/1 at Totesport, while Stephen Ames has a far better chance than Betfred’s 66/1 suggests. Jeff Overton, who has been quiet most of the season, finished 6th on his latest start and is at a generous 45/1 (bet365) this week which looks great each way value.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
