Live on Skysports 2: Sat 17.20: It’s 11/1 with Skybet from the Championship matches at Reading and Blackpool to end in draws.
Southampton’s narrow 1-0 success over West Ham in midweek means Saints are now five points clear in the Championship but they face a tough test this weekend as they visit a Reading side unbeaten in six outings.
Nigel Adkins’ troops are slight favourites at 8/5 with and Ladbrokes quote the Royals at 15/8, however Saints are winless in four on their travels, where they have drawn two of their last three while Brian McDermott’s charges have shared the spoils in their last couple at the Madejski Stadium and on this basis, Skybet’s 5/2 marked against a stalemate is arguably the best bet.
Also set to draw could be Blackpool and Nottingham Forest. The latter won their first match under Steve Cotterill, seeing off Middlesbrough 2-0 in midweek and although the new man in charge has plenty of problems to contend with at the City Ground, it looks like he has already set about making his team difficult to beat.
A victory at a decent Seasiders outfit of course is a big ask but Ian Holloway’s men went down 4-0 at West Ham a week ago and went behind at home to Doncaster on Tuesday before snatching a last-gasp winner, so Forest will certainly sense vulnerability in their hosts at Bloomfield Road, where Betfred offer the draw at 5/2.
Elsewhere, it’s seven games since resilient Hull tasted defeat and Coral make them 5/6 to overcome struggling Watford and bet365 quote Leicester at 8/11 to register a fifth consecutive home win at Millwall’s expense.
