Paul Ferguson kick starts the week with one selection on Monday from Leicester; Mezmaar in the 2.20. Compare odds.
A fairly quiet start to the week on Monday, but Leicester’s opening novice stakes is the most interesting race of the day, in which Mezmaar (2:20) is fancied to get the better of Samminder and get his career back on track.
The Teofilo colt looked really good on debut at Haydock back in May, after which he was went off just 13/2 for the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Drawn on the wrong side, Richard Hills’ mount was way to keen in the early stages and that is probably the reason he is dropped back to 5f for his belated return today.
Yarmouth winner Samminder also holds Group 1 entries and is another returning from a lay-off. His presence in the line-up should make the selection a realistic price.
Monday’s selection:
2:20 Leicester Mezmaar
