Live on Skysports 1: Thu 16.00: Andy Murray faces Donald Young in the US Open last 16 and Totesport make it 3/1 Murray wins 3-1.
Following two days of rain delays, Murray and Young will try again on Thursday with Young 2-1 up in the opening set.
Murray and Young have met once before, earlier in 2011, and Young came through 2-0. Skybet make Young 9/1 to beat Murray on Tuesday and Ladbrokes go 66/1 that he can keep him to nil and win 3-0.
This match is on hard court, as it was in the pair’s previous meeting, but the circumstances are much different. Murray does play well at this level and at this stage so should overcome his opponenet. Ladbrokes have Murray at just 1/12 to win and Betfred go 8/11 for a clean sweep 3-0 but with Young coming across as no mug on hard courts, backing him to take one set is a good strategy; Totesport have 3/1 about a 3-1 win for Murray.
Also today, John Isner and Gilles Simon are very difficult to split; the Frenchman coming in as William Hill’s 5/6 favourite. Rafa Nadal is 21/10 with Paddy Power to beat Gilles Muller 3-0 after going behind 3-0 in the 1st set but many will be thinking about Nadal’s cramps on Sunday. William Hill put 13/8 on Muller snatching a set but losing 3-1.
Finally, Ferrer is 13/10 with bet365 to beat Roddick, the American leading 3-1 in the 1st set.
