Paul Ferguson has one selection for us today; he has gone for Cheveley Park owned Cardrona in the 3.45 at Newcastle.
John Gosden has a fair record with his runners at Newcastle and the Newmarket handler sends three up on the long journey north on Wednesday.
Though she has yet to set the world alight in three starts Cardrona (3:45) is now of interest on her handicap debut, as she drops back three furlongs to contest the Digibet.com Handicap.
Being by Selkirk, any ease in the ground shouldn’t hinder her chances and she is a full sister to Listed winner Selinka. Bred to be much better than her current mark, it is worth taking a chance on the Cheveley Park owned filly.
Wednesday’s selection:
3:45 Newcastle Cardrona
