Live on BBC 1: Sat 17.15: Watford are 8/5 with Stan James to beat Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s televised Championship clash.
Watford have hardly made a flying start to the campaign, winning just one of their opening seven but they’re unbeaten in four matches, three of which were away from home and they should have the measure of troubled Nottingham Forest.
Steve McCLaren’s men remain in the bottom three after they beaten by ten-man Derby last weekend and heavy-legged after their extra-time Carling Cup defeat to Newcastle, they are easy to oppose at Vicarage Road, where Stan James rate the Hornets at a tempting 8/5.
7/4 for a Derby triumph is simply too big as the Rams host faltering Millwall, who arrive at Pride Park without a goal in four outings. Nigel Clough’s men are on a high after gleaning three points from their derby clash at Forest, where they won despite being reduced to ten men and going a goal down to the subsequent penalty in the opening five minutes and on home soil, the Championship high flyers should be too strong for the off-colour Lions.
Also tempting at 7/4, this time with Boylesports, are Hull. The Tigers have quietly racked up three straight wins and can extend that to four with a victory at Bristol City.
