Cambridgeshire sponsors Betfred have cut Dare To Dance to 6/1 fav (from 7/1) in a field of 122 following the latest round of scratchings.
Another to be cut is Maraheb (12/1 from 14/1) for the £160,000 Cambridgeshire, all following the news that Labarinto, or Sir Michael Stoute, will miss the race in favour of Saturday’s Dubai Duty Free Handicap at Newbury.
“Dare To Dance still heads the Cambridgeshire market at the moment but Man Of Action has been very popular since his victory at Doncaster over the weekend and he could well shorten further over the next fortnight,” Betfred spokesman George Primarolo told Betrescue.
10/1 joint-favourites Tuscan Gold and Keys head the Betfred Cesarewitch after a total of 91 horses were left in after the latest declarations.
Following solid support, Keys has been moved to 10/1 from an original 12/1 shot when the market was first priced and he could well head the market come the final declaration stage for the final leg of the Autumn Double on Saturday, October 8.
“Keys has joined Tuscan Gold at the head of the Cesarewitch market over the past fortnight and any further support for Roger Charlton’s gelding would surely see him go off as favourite,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
This year’s Betfred Autumn Double will also carry a bonus of £100,000 to any stable which provides the winner of both the Betfred Cambridgeshire and Betfred Cesarewitch. The bonus will be split two ways with £50,000 going to the winning trainer and £50,000 split amongst the stable staff in the yard.
