It’s 8/1 with William Hill that AP McCoy or Ruby Walsh miss out on Cheltenham due to the new whip rules due to come in during October.
The new changes to the whip rules will come into effect on October 10th and it’s even money (William Hill) that a jockey will face a BHA review before the end of 2012.
With contoversy on the horizon it’s 5/2 that the rules are amended within 12 months.
‘’We expect the new rules to cause some headaches for Britain’s jockeys. With the whip issue under much scrutiny we expect the BHA to crack down hard on those who infringe the new regulations, with the possibility that even more changes are afoot.’’ Kate Miller, spokeswoman for William Hill, told Betrescue.
As well as been 8/1 to miss Cheltenham through a whip related ban, AP McCoy is 2/1 fav of the National Hunt jockeys to receive the first ban due to breaking the new system’s rules.
