Tiger Woods has been cut to 16-1 to win the WGC Bridgestone after being backed in from 22-1 with bookmakers Coral.
The former world number one makes his first course appearance since May in a tournament he has won seven times in the last 11 years.
“22-1 was the biggest price we have ever quoted at the start of a tournament, and despite the lack of form and match practice, punters are still keen to support their fallen hero,” said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.
Outright favourite is Rory McIlroy at 12-1, with Lee Westwood next at 14-1 and Luke Donald 16-1.
