Live on Skysports 2: Fri 18.00: Steve Stricker roared into a 2 shot lead at the US PGA and is now 5/2 to win (Sportingbet).
Stricker shot an equal lowest round in a major of 63, putting him top of the leaderboard on -7 in Atlanta; Sportingbet make him 5/2 to win.
Jerry Kelly is on his tail, the American -5 and still 50/1 to win with Coral while Totesport don’t fancy Shaun Micheel’s chances, he is 66/1 despite sitting 3rd on -4.
Luke Donald is 2nd fav on 14/1 (Ladbrokes) but at evens, 7 shots adrift, has a lot to do while Rory McIlroy also has work to on even par and after badly hurting his wrist, Stan James are expecting a lot of him at 16/1.
Recent winner Adam Scott (-1) and home favourite Lee Westwood (+1) are both 20’s at Betfred while leading Englishman Simon Dyson is on -2 and still 50/1 at Ladbrokes (rememeber, Dyson did win the Irish Open recently)
Tiger Woods found going difficult as he slipped back to +7, as did Darren Clarke (+8), the pair are both a 1000/1 at Blue Square.
Lastly, Scott Verplank should never be overlooked and at 75/1 (Betdaq), he is surely overpriced as he stalks the leaders on -3.
