Only eight tickets remained heading into the final leg with three on Lost In The Moment, two on Saptapadi and one on Mount Athos, Modun and Blissful Moment. However, whilst all five horses were in with a shout heading into the final furlong, none could cope with the finishing burst of 25/1 shot Moyenne Corniche who scored by a length.
This means there is a rollover of £268,475 in the win fund whilst the bonus pot has now swelled to £115,060.
‘With the first five in the Betfred Ebor market covered, it looked like the totescoop6 was going to be won but Moyenne Corniche’s victory at 25/1 means that the bet rolls over and the win fund alone could be worth up to £400,000 next weekend,’ said totepool spokesman George Primarolo.
