Hoof It has been cut to 7/2 (from 4/1) by Betfred for the Coolmore Nunthorpe as support continues to come for Mick Easterby’s gelding.
The four-year-old is all set to be supplemented for next week’s race on the Knavesmire and he jumped to the head of the market following his fine weight-carrying performance in the Stewards’ Cup almost two weeks ago.
“Both Hoof It and Bapak Cinta look set to fight it out at the head of the market for the Nunthorpe despite neither horse having run in a Group One race before and it would seem punters have more faith in their potential than the proven form of some of the others,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
Bapak Cinta is the 6/1 co-second-favourite of three with Betfred alongside Bated Breath and last year’s winner Sole Power.
Looking ahead to the Betfred Sprint Cup next month, Deacon Blues is now the 4/1 clear second-favourite with the sponsors (from 5/1) following his impressive victory in the Phoenix Sprint Stakes at the Curragh over the weekend.
