Chelsea are available at 3/1 () to win the Premier League title while Blackburn are 7/4 with Stan James to go down.
Andre Villas-Boas and his Chelsea side picked up their first win of the season in a slightly less than glamorous way but they are now 3/1 with to win the Premier League. Stalking them in the market are Manchester City, Stan James making them 3/1 2nd favs, after they beat Bolton in an exciting goal-fest at The Reebok. Coral have 4/7 on Mancini’s men to win without United or Chelsea present.
Manchester United are still 13/8 clear favs (William Hill) before a ball is kicked against Spurs on Monday and Ferguson’s men will surely be shortened should they win.
Following Liverpool’s win at the Emirates, Ladbrokes have 4/5 against Dalglish and co breaking the top 4 while Arsenal are less fancied at 5/4 (Skybet), and Totesport go 12/1 for The Reds to win the league. Arsene Wenger, on the other hand, is 7/1 with Ladbrokes to be the next manager sacked.
Without a league game played, it remains to be seen how Spurs will perform but they are still 1.44 (4/9) with Betdaq to finish in the top 6 while it could be Everton who suffer, they are right out to 9/2 with bet365 for that honour. Further down, Sunderland are evens with Skybet to finish in the top 10 while West Brom, who have performed admirably in a horrible pair of opening fixtures, are 10/3 with the same firm to sneak in the top 10.
At the other end, Swansea are still 4/6 favs with Paddy Power for the drop while Norwich are evens with Boylesports but it’s Blackburn that are surely worth keeping an eye on at 7/4 with Stan James after a pair of defeats.
Sergio Aguero had a decent looking goal ruled out on Sunday and he still leads the top scorer market on 5/1 (Betfred), ahead of 15/2 Wayne Rooney (Coral), while Aguero’s team mate Edin Dzeko, who has looked a player transformed, is still available at 16/1 (William Hill).
