Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Monday; Royal Reveille 3.50 Naas and Won In The Dark 4.05 Cork. Compare odds and bet
Cork stages a decent jumps card on Monday where Won In The Dark (4:05) is fancied to reverse recent form with Oneeightofamile and land the feature J P McManus Hurdle.
The seven-year-old looked to be travelling much better than John Kiely’s runner as they turned for home here last month, but a bad error three out put pay to his chance. He rallied before making another mistake at the last, yet the selection still finished just 3 lengths off the winner.
The selection renews rivalry on better terms and I expected him to head the market, so was surprised when Boylesports opened up with Oneeightofamile 5/4 and Won In The Dark 2/1 on Sunday evening.
Also over in Ireland the in-form Royal Reveille (3:50) is likely to be hard to beat in his bid to complete the hat-trick at Naas.
Ted Walsh’s Old Vic gelding bolted up in maiden hurdle at Roscommon early last month and followed up in a competitive handicap at Galway last week.
Now rated 121, he faces mainly exposed animals here and should follow up in the same mood as when winning just 5 days ago. He’s available at 4/6 in the early betting at bet365.
Monday’s selections:
3:50 Naas: Royal Reveille (4/6 Bet365)
4:05 Cork: Won In The Dark (2/1 Boylesports)
