A total of 30 horses have been entered for Saturday’s Betfair International at Ascot and Betfred have opened their market on the race, making the lightly-raced Western Aristocrat the 5/1 favourite.
Jeremy Noseda’s colt has only had three starts in his career but is improving with every run and was last seen when finishing third behind Strong Suit in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.
“Western Aristocrat’s defeat of subsequent Royal Ascot winner Rhythm Of Light at Haydock marked him down as a colt of some potential and he could prove to be a blot on the handicap judged on his third in the Jersey Stakes last time out,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
Victoria Cup winner Hawkeyethenoo is next in the market at 8/1 with the quintet of Brae Hill, Eton Forever, Excellent Guest, Namecheck and Our Jonathan all priced up at 12/1.
