Live on ESPN: Sun 20.00: Brazil are 4/6 with to beat Paraguay in the last eight of the Copa America and goals are on the cards.
Brazil finally found a bit of Copa America form on Wednesday, beating Ecuador 4-2 to book their place in the quarter final and their reward is a rematch against another of their Group B opponents, Paraguay.
The pair drew two-each in their first meeting, a late Fred goal denying Gerardo Martino’s men a victory but on this occasion, Paraguay aren’t expected to fare as well, Betdaq chalking them up as 5/1 outsiders and rating Mano Menezes’ side as odds-on, 4/6 favourites.
Now they have discovered some rhythm, Brazil have to be fancied to progress to the semis, but at only 1/4 (Sportingbet) to get through, they’re not exactly appealing and punters might be better served by changing tack slightly by backing the clash to produce plenty of goals.
After a slow start the goals started to flow in Group B as these two teams shared four, Paraguay and Venezuela drew three-each and Brazil saw off Ecuador 4-2 so it’s fair to say that neither team has exactly been water tight at the back in their last two outings.
Backing both sides to score at even money with Skybet is one way to potentially cash in on defensive frailty but bet365’s slightly higher 21/20 for the match to produce at least three goals narrowly shades it in terms of value.
