Live on Skysports 2: Thu 21.00: Brendon de Jonge is 18/1 (bet365) to win this week’s Viking Classic and improve on last year’s fourth.
Last week at the John Deere Classic, de Jonge was in great shape heading into round 4, but two poor holes cost him dearly and he came home in a still very respectable T7. He looked to be playing well and can carry that form into this week’s Viking Classic, where last year he finished fourth.
Defending champion Bill Haas is off to Royal St George this week so the title is up for renewal, John Senden taking the 14/1 fav tag with Stan James while DJ Trahan is also an 18/1 chance (Betdaq) along with de Jonge.
2008 winner Will Mackenzie is 50/1 with Totesport and Canadian outsider Matt McQuillan could be worth considering each way at 100/1 (Ladbrokes)
