Live on SS2 & 3: Thu 10.00 & 20.00: Angus Loughran previews this week’s Canadian Open and Scandinavian Masters : Selections:
Thorbjorn Olsen has yet to win on the European Tour but at 28/1 with Skybet he is the value bet to win this weeks Scandinavian Masters in Stockholm.
Another without a win is Jamie Donaldson – available at 20/1 with Betfred. I have been following him closely over last 2 years and a win is long overdue.
Ryan Moore is my selection to land this week’s Canadian Open, an event he should have won 6 years ago. Moore played better than his 28th finish at last weeks Open suggests and should go well in Vancouver this week, he is 25/1 with Ladbrokes. Lucas Glover plays well on tough courses and at 45/1 looks over the odds with Stan James.
The British Senior Open takes place at Walton Heath in Surrey, the venue of the 1981 Ryder Cup. Defending Champion Bernhard Langer looks a big price at 16/1 (Totesport). This is only because he has not played much this season due to injury but even though he missed the cut at Sandwich, he was far from disgraced and he should go well.
Ian Woosnam looks a huge price at 100/1 with Betdaq, I expect him to be a contender and at quarter odds for a top five finish regard him as a real value play.
Good luck
Angus Loughran
