Live on BBC1: Sat & Sun 13.00: Sebastien Vettel, 60 points ahead in the championship, is 5/4 (Totesport) to win the European GP.
Runaway Drivers Championship leader Sebastian Vettel could only finish second in the Canadian Grand Prix after an error on the last lap but the German is Totesport’s 5/4 favourite to make amends with a victory as the season moves to Valencia for the European Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton had something of a nightmare in Montreal and is 10/3 (bet365) to glean maximum points from the race while Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso is next in the betting at 11/2 with Paddy Power, ahead of Jenson Button (15/2, Partybets) and Vettel’s Red Bull team mate Mark Webber, a 12/1 shot at Sportingbet.
On current form, it’s hard to oppose the defending champion, who won the race last year but punters wanting to risk their cash elsewhere might fancy Paddy Power’s 8/13 for Hamilton to steer his McLaren to a podium finish or Betfred’s 9/2 for him to register the fastest lap.
Michael Schumacher recorded his best position of the season in Canada last time out, the German is unlikely to win at 80/1 (Sportingbet) but can’t be ignored at 2/1 with Skybet to get over the line in the top 6.
