Live on BBC 2: Wed 15.00: Rafa Nadal heads into his quarter final with Mardy Fish as Betfred’s 1/5 fav and 10/11 at Ladbrokes not to drop a set
Rafael Nadal declared himself fit on Tuesday lunchtime, dashing any hopes that Murray fans may have had, and so the Spaniard will take to the grass to play Mardy Fish. Should Nadal win, he could set up a possible semi final with Andy Murray. The Spaniard is currently 11/4 (bet365) to win the tournament outright
Fish is 9/2 with Paddy Power and will be studying what Juan Martin del Potro did so well after the Argentinian came within a whisker of going 2-1 up in the 4th round. Fish is even money with William Hill to register a victory in at least 1 set while a 3-0 whitewash for Nadal is 10/11 with Ladbrokes.
In the other quarters, Roger Federer is 2/11 with Unibet to beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and even money with Totesport to record a 3-0 win while Novak Djokovic comes up against a highly charged and confident Bernard Tomic.
At just 18 years old, Tomic is in the form of his life and is 13/2 with Stan James to beat Djokovic. After defeating Malisse so competently, Tomic is 18/1 (Sportingbet) to edge a 5 set thriller here, Djokovic is 9/1 with William Hill to do likewise, and have 17/20 on another comfortable 3-0 win for Novak Djokovic.
