William Hill have priced-up next month’s Newmarket July Cup – making recent Golden Jubilee absentee Delegator their 6-1 favourite for the July Course famous race.
The Goldolphin-owned five-year-old, withdrawn at Royal Ascot after going concerns will now oppose eventual Golden Jubilee winner Society Rock (7-1) and Australian raider Star Witness (8-1).
Other notable contenders include Lady of the Desert – not seen since her L’Abbaye second last October – and Zoffany; runner-up to Frankel earlier this week.
Kate Miller, spokeswoman for William Hill, said: ‘’With luck, the sun will shine at the July meeting and a level playing field will exist for all the leading contenders. Decent ground will bring out the best in Delegator – and perhaps Star Witness who has yet to find ideal conditions.’’
