With Epsom out of the way and Royal Ascot just around the corner, it is understandable that this week is rather quiet and the low key action continues on Wednesday, though there are a couple of interesting contests at Haydock.
Keys is worth noting in the PHS Datashred Maiden Stakes, but the three-time bumper winner was slightly disappointing on his Flat debut recently, so the PHS Waterlogic Handicap over the same trip looks more interesting from a punting point of view.
Recent Windsor winner Dance Tempo is respected but, after an eye-catching run here last month, Kitty Wells (3:20) is taken to strike for Luca Cumani and Kieren Fallon.
The Sadler’s Wells filly met trouble in running before getting going too late and taking second, having previously shed her maiden tag at Kempton in a handicap off just 68 at Christmas time.
She races off 85 now, but she looks up to scoring off this mark and the 5/2 that was available on Tuesday evening represented a fair price.
