Live on SS1 & 3: Thu 09.30 & 20.00: Angus Loughran previews this week’s Open de France and AT&T National : Selections:
Martin Kaymer, 2009 Champion when beating Lee Westwood in a playoff, is a worthy 10/1 fav with Ladbrokes for this weeks French Open at Le Golf National near Paris – the venue chosen for 2018 Ryder Cup.
Italian teenager Matteo Manassero will surely play a major part this week, he looks a big contender this week at 20/1 () and he is one of the sports most exciting prospects in years.
The best chance of a home victory is Gregory Bourdy available at a tasty 33/1 (Skybet) while Robert Rock has a far better chance than Betfred’s odds of 55/1 suggest. Pablo Larrazabal had a great win here in 2008 his first Tour Title and comes here in great shape having won the BMW in Munich at the weekend and is a generous 28/1 at Boylesports to follow up.
Nick Watney, at 14/1 with bet365, looks the man to beat in Pennsylvania this week in the AT&T National while the best of the outsiders here looks to be Kevin Streelman who caught my eye with an encouraging 6th in last weeks Travelers and should go well at 40/1 (Blue Square).
Good luck
Angus Loughran
