Live on Sky Sports 1: Weds 19.45: Scotland are 13/10 with bet365 to make it two Carling Nations Cup wins out of two as they face Wales.
Wales started the Carling Nations Cup with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Ireland and it’s difficult to Gary Speed’s men faring much better as they return to the Aviva Stadium, this time to tackle Scotland.
The depleted Welsh will be without their Swansea and Reading players, who are all preparing for Monday’s Championship play-off final and with the likes of Gareth Bale and Lewin Nyatanga also missing, it’s not surprising to see Totesport chalk Wales up as 23/10 outsiders.
By contrast, the Scots can call on the majority of the team that saw off Northern Ireland 3-0 in their first game back in February and with many of their players – Charlie Adam being an obvious exception – enjoying a successful end to their domestic seasons, Celtic’s representatives having lifted the Scottish, the Rangers’ squad members fresh from a league title win and others celebrating promotion or survival, there should be a buoyant atmosphere in the Scotland camp.
They’re a cracking bet at 13/10 with bet365 then and with Wales desperately lacking cutting edge at present, Craig Levein’s men could combine victory with a clean sheet at 11/4 (Paddy Power).
