Live on Skysports 1: Fri 19.45: Shrewsbury are 11/10 with Betfred to beat Torquay but they need an emphatic win to reach the play-off final.
Torquay’s 2-0 triumph against Shrewsbury at Plainmoor has put them firmly in the driving seat in the pair’s League Two play-off semi-final and accordingly the Gulls are just 1/4 at best with Coral to qualify for the Old Trafford final.
Paddy Power rate the Shrews at 4/1 to turn things around to progress but while the hosts’ excellent form towards the end of the season means the Gulls will take nothing for granted, it’s a big ask for Town to record an emphatic enough triumph against a Torquay team who drew six of their last ten league games.
A victory however, at 11/10 with Betfred, is well within the capabilities of Graham Turner’s charges, who aren’t out of the tie by any stretch of the imagination but from a betting perspective, it would be something of speculative gamble to back them to make it through.
