Overturn has been slashed to 9/2 favouratism (from 10/1) by totesport for Wednesday’s Chester Cup after being drawn in stall one as the final declarations for the race were made.
Donald McCain’s dual-purpose performer had a wonderful summer last season, taking the John Smith’s Northumberland Plate en route to a successful tilt at the Galway Hurdle.
“The draw always has a big effect on the market for the Chester Cup and this year is no exception with Overturn’s price tumbling after being given a plum draw in stall one,” said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.
Red Cadeaux is next in the market and has been cut to 7/1 (from 9/1) after being drawn in stall five whilst ante-post favourite Mount Athos has been eased out to 10/1 after being berthed in stall nineteen.
There has been further support for Blue Bunting in the Investec Oaks after her victory in yesterday’s QIPCO 1000 Guineas and she is now 3/1 (from 10/3) for the Epsom classic. Sea Moon has also been cut for the Investec Derby ahead of a possible crack at this week’s MBNA Chester Vase and is 14/1 (from 20/1) with totesport.
